So I ordered some DBA4000 series rotors for the car last week. And today, they have been delivered. I’m most likely going to install them along with Stainless lines, Hawk HPS pads, and some ATE Blue fluid this weekend.
Thanks to Josh @ ImportImage. His prices on DBA stuff simply CANNOT be beat. Not only that, but I emailed him late in the day, like 7pm, and he replied right away and was able to process my order. Very pleased with his service.
Check back soon for my first driving impressions with the new braking system.
I needed to freshen this place up a bit. Hope you like the new layout. Please submit any bugs you may find using the CONTACT page. Please browse around, and don’t forget to comment on the articles!
Well this weekend I went and got my car dyno tuned by Mike. We made some pretty impressive power. Actually exceeding my expectations. Check out the dyno graphs!
Dyno Graph 1 – (e85, 6~psi, FlashPro)
Dyno Graph 2 – (Comparison – Street Tune vs. Dyno Tune w/ e85 @ 6~psi)

COMplex’s Stage “XX” Superchargery Thread – Corn power!
Long time no post, I know, I know! Plenty of updates though. The car is now running on a 3.0″ pulley with the RC 650cc injectors and a Walbro 255lph fuel pump. In addition to that, I am now using e85 ethanol for fuel instead of gasoline. We street tuned the car this weekend using Hondata’s new FlashPro, and I must say the car is a BEAST! My tuner said that he feels there is a LOT more power to be made once we get it on the dyno, and I’m certainly ok with that.
I’ll try and update the blog here, and the forums once I get it dialed in. I’m expecting to make at least 300whp, and it is certainly possible with this setup.

Excerpt from Carbon8 Article (Their writers are very creative, haha)
Right now, he’s out there. He’s waiting for you and he’s not alone. He uses team work. He moves quickly, silently and with deadly results. At first glance, if you’re lucky enough to even catch a glimpse of him, he looks harmless enough. You might even be tempted to admire your own reflection in his gloss black coat. That will prove to be a serious mistake. For soon your silly grin will be replaced with a grimace and then in no more than the blink of an eye, you will hear the sound of what will become your ultimate fate.
Your reaction time is swift but he’s already gaining ground. Your muscles tense as you work up enough speed to nearly avoid the inevitable. How can this be, is the question you ask yourself as your gauges and sensors tell you a different story than the one you are watching unfold in front of you.

Winter is over (officially) but it’s still snowing at this moment. Damn Colorado weather!
Some new things in the works!
I received my SSR Race Header and installed it finally. Install took forever since Honda designed the engine bay in this car for the hands of midgets and children. It sounds great, and seems to perform well. Recent dyno shows a 23 peak whp gain over OEM header. Different dyno in different conditions, but still exciting.
I am in the process of trying to pioneer some new things in the world of the FG2. After several conversations with Greg @ RedShift and Tobi Connell @ TC Performance, I’ve decided to attempt my own “Stage 2.5″ for my Comptech supercharger.
After doing several calculations, I decided I will use a 3.2″ Pulley from PulleyBoys (since Comptech is on 4-6 week back order for their 3.15″) So I’m waiting for that, in addition to the smaller belt.
I’ve also purchased and installed an AEM F/IC, and have purchased some RC 650cc injectors.
Hopefully I can get everything installed and squared away this coming weekend so I can have Tobi work his magic for a tune. I may need a fuel pump or additional parts. We shall see.
In less exciting news, I had my windows retinted. Was sick of the legal 27% or whatever it is and decided to go 15% on the sides and rear, and 35% on the windshield. (Yes I tinted my windshield) The shop I took it to did an excellent job. I’d plug them here, but they don’t exist since it is illegal.
So that’s it for now. I still have a bandolier of parts that need to be installed that I’m just too lazy to make time for. Brembo rotors, Hawk HPS pads, some skunk 2 goodies, Exedy clutch & flywheel, and I still need to order my replacement JL 10w6v2 since I accidentally blew up my original.
Watch this space in the coming weeks. I may be the first to run higher levels of boost through a Comptech supercharger on the k20z3. Weeee!
Woo hoo! I was voted “Ride of the Month” for January 2008 by 8thcivic.com!
Thanks to everyone who nominated me, voted for me, and for all the love!
Jesus fuck what a weekend! I spent the last two days at the Nopi show here in Denver. Fairly decent turnout, and some decent drifting. The show scene here isn’t anything like back east where there are hundreds and hundreds of cars, but I still had a good time. My car placed third in the Honda Street Class which is pretty exciting considering my car isn’t really a show car. I had on some DC5-R wheels for the show, which look pretty good, but I have to give them tomorrow. The Volks should be in the states next week. Note to self: Don’t wear jeans when it is 100 degrees outside!
Ok, I know I know it’s been a while. I’ve been extremely busy with work, car shows, and other websites I maintain, but I’ve finally got an update. So… I picked up a set of Hoosier drag radials (225/50-16 to be exact) and Tai from CorSport was kind enough to give me a pair of Bronze Rota Slipstreams to mount the tires on for the track. My clutch is on it’s way out… and I’m willing to bet that when I take it to the track and make a few passes on the stickier tires, it’s going to hate me and stop working, so I’m planning in advance to get a Exedy Hyper Single Stage III Clutch and Flywheel. My next update will have video and time slips from my first visit to the track. (If I don’t break or fuck up too bad haha) By the way… the Volks, still not here. =X
