Update! Woo Hoo!

Ok, I know I know it’s been a while. I’ve been extremely busy with work, car shows, and other websites I maintain, but I’ve finally got an update. So… I picked up a set of Hoosier drag radials (225/50-16 to be exact) and Tai from CorSport was kind enough to give me a pair of Bronze Rota Slipstreams to mount the tires on for the track. My clutch is on it’s way out… and I’m willing to bet that when I take it to the track and make a few passes on the stickier tires, it’s going to hate me and stop working, so I’m planning in advance to get a Exedy Hyper Single Stage III Clutch and Flywheel. My next update will have video and time slips from my first visit to the track. (If I don’t break or fuck up too bad haha) By the way… the Volks, still not here. =X

Spring is Here… Plus: NEW Photos!

So it’s finally starting to warm up here… I recently picked up one of the last available stage 2 supercharger pullies from Comptech (thanks Dwight!), and I’m now just waiting on Hondata to release the stage 2 reflash. I will need a smaller belt and larger injectors as well, but thats not a problem. That should net some decent gains, as I’m almost doubling my boost pressure with the 8psi pulley. I’m also looking into getting a custom SSR 4-1 Race Header, as well as some other go fast goodies. And this month officially makes it ONE YEAR since I ordered my Volks. Boooo! Exciting news! My car is currently featured on the front page of CorSport’s online performance store. Thanks to Greg for taking some nice shots at one of our weekly meets. I did some photoshooting of my own recently (with others from CorSport) and just added a new photo gallery. Be sure to check it out!

I Hate Winter!

I got my headlights back from Customlightz a week or two ago, and they look amazing. I simply cannot wait to get them installed. Problem is, it snowed again and it’s cold. I can’t spend more than a few minutes in the garage without almost freezing to death. Grr!

Got a Bit of Work Done!

It was a bit warmer yesterday, so I had the opportunity to finish installing my AEM boost and wideband air fuel gauges. I cleaned up the under-hood hoses, wires, secured the pressure sending unit, and then soldered the connections. I mounted the gauges to the AJP dual gauge holder (thanks for the help Kayla!). They fit and look very nice. I still have to weld the wideband o2 sensor to my exhaust, but that will have to wait until the spring when all the snow melts. At least I have everything in place, so I’ll just have to pull a bit more wire through the firewall to get the sensor in place. I still have about 10′ of extra data cable for the wideband under my dash. I’ll probably zip tie it temporarily so I don’t get it tangled in my pedals when I drive. I was hoping to put my dash back together and mount my Philips HID ballasts but after the sun went down it got too cold so that’ll have to wait for another warm day. I received my CruiseCam headrest camera mount. I got the large size, but it didn’t come with 2 heads as expected. I’m still waiting to hear back from them, but it is a very well made piece. I’ll probably mount that once I put my dash back together. My buddy Josh over at Excelerate spoke with Comptech recently. They are working on additional stages for their 2006 Civic Si Supercharger kit. I’m going for stage 3, which should be 10-11psi of boost. Should be an impressive power gain! In an email from Dave @ R&D Motorsports, he said my wheels MIGHT be in by month end, but he couldn’t say for sure. I hope I get them before the spring time. I’ve been waiting for months but the Time Attacks are well worth the wait! I also just got a call from Bjorn over at CustomLightz. He had a few questions about how I wanted the cutoff to look. I should have the pictures of the completed headlamps within the next few days, and should have them back in my possession within a week or so. I can’t wait to get them back on the car so I can put the front end back together! I also look forward to seeing the awesome work the guys over at CustomLightz do.

HIDs Have Been Delivered! Other Status Updates…

After 20+ days of waiting for Canada Post’s slow ass, they finally delivered my 4300k Philips D2S HID Kit from XenonDepot.com. Now I’m just waiting on CustomLightz to finish my TSX/MDX headlight retrofit, and I’ll be ready to start putting my car back together. Should be another week or two. I’m also hoping I will receive my Volk Time Attacks in the next month or so. I’ve been waiting since April of last year, which is amazing because I have the least patience out of any person I know, or have ever met. haha! I still have to finish wiring in my boost and wideband air-fuel guages, but it’s been less than 20°F just about every night since I started the project. Oh well, hopefully it warms up soon!
